Safety
STATEMENT OF CORPORATE SAFETY CULTURE AND COMMITMENT
Throughout our manuals we’ve reinforced the concept that safety is the first priority at 10 Tanker. The Policy and Procedures Manual establishes safety of our client, co-workers, and equipment as the first element we consider in evaluating our business decisions. Safety is our established priority and forms our core culture.
S afety – Ground and Air
A vailability — 100% on All Assigned Aircraft
F lexibility — Adaptable to Dynamic Situations
E ffectiveness — Consistent Process Improvement
Our fundamental safety beliefs are:
- Safety is a core business and personal value;
- Safety is a source of our competitive advantage;
- We will strengthen our business by making safety excellence an integral part of all flight and ground activities;
- We believe that all accidents and incidents are preventable; and,
- All levels of management are accountable for our safety performance, starting with the owners and Chief Executive Officer.
We believe that each employee contributes directly to 10 Tanker’s growth and success, and we hope that you will take pride in being a member of our team. Each of you was chosen for your commitment and will to succeed, and we know that you will each contribute to the continuing success of our company.
Your safety, that of our clients, and of our equipment is not a static process. As technology advances and the reliability of our systems improve we face new challenges: a challenge to identify precursors to accidents; a challenge to use the best tools available to mitigate risk; and a challenge to refine the risk management system.
Identifying, quantifying and appropriately mitigating risk is the single most important function of our Safety Management System. To that end, we’ve added several new functions to our Safety Management System that are designed to help us reliably identify trends and risks that can affect your safety, and to measure the effectiveness of our systems that mitigate those risks.
